RULES AND POLICIES

You all have obviously worked very hard to be at this level of mathematics. So the no biting, no kicking, no yelling, no cussing, no pulling hair type of rules hopefully, by now, goes without saying.

I do have a few basic rules for my classroom that I expect each of you to adhere by:

1. ABSOLUTELY no talking when I'm talking. For me this is equilavent to smoking in a restaurant.  It's just not something you do.

2. If you come in late to class, please be quite. Don't throw your bags to the ground and plop yourself on the chair. We are all big boys and girls here, so please be mindful of the other people around you.

3. No late assignments will be accepted. If you're sick find a friend and give your assignment to them to get to me. This is not to be mean but to teach you how to be responsable!

4. There will be NO extra credit.

RULES THAT OTHER TEACHERS HAVE BUT DONT REALLY BOTHER ME ...

1. Eating in class. If you're hungry and want to pop out a snack from your backpack that is totally fine with me! Candy, yogurt, a bagel, you name it! the only snack that I beg of you NOT to eat in my classroom (while i'm teaching) is CHIPS. the crunching sound annoys me to the brink of crazy. So, no chips but anything else is perfectly fine (drinks in class are okay too).

2. Electronics. In this level of mathematics, as you know, we will be using scientific calculuators. I know there are apps now on many phones and tablets that are calculators. So, small electronics are fine by me but NO COMPUTERS. With this being a math class, computers are really not necessary or convenient in taking notes (I don't see a need in them being out).

3. Bathroom policies. If you need to go to the bathroom, you do not need to ask. That just inturrupts me while I'm teaching you all. I will leave the bathroom "pass" at the back of the room. Please, just QUITELY get up, take the pass, and leave. There will only be one pass for each bathroom so if the girls pass is taken you need to wait until they come back same applies for the boys.
